# Use the workbench

> Plan runs, browse evidence and control jobs from the terminal.

Run `lattora` to open the workbench. **Run**, **Results**, **Tools** and **Setup**
stay available while a job runs.

## Plan and start

Choose a profile in **Run**. Review cases, workers, shared heap and deadline.
Frozen scientific settings are read-only. Stress exposes size, N/T/R and seed.
Its calibration plan stays separate from the production campaign.

## Inspect results

Select a retained campaign in **Results**. Check case/evaluation totals,
algorithm means and recorded validation. Expand **Saved evidence** for paths,
commands and metadata. Display integrity checks are separate from full independent validation.
Use **Tools** or `lattora validate DIRECTORY --plain` to repeat validation.

Progress distinguishes computation, published evidence and analysis.
Optimizer completion does not mean the experiment is complete.
Cancelled and failed attempts retain their settings and logs.
History survives restarts; resume is not supported.

## Change appearance

Choose Harbor, Ember or Paper in **Setup**.
Small terminals scroll to keep errors accessible.
Set `TEXTUAL_ANIMATIONS=none` to disable app motion. `NO_COLOR` is respected.

The captures show an earlier validated Smoke run. Stress screens show configuration only.
The visible setup warning reflects low memory during capture.
